Brand Review
Logo and color directions for The AI Backlash
Three logo concepts and three palette systems, shown in practical editorial contexts: nav lockups, favicon tests, article cards, alerts, and subscription calls to action.
Part 1
Logo Directions
These are review-ready vector concepts. The goal is to find the right signal before producing final production assets for favicon, nav, social preview, and article watermark use.
Part 2
Color Scheme Directions
Each palette keeps the site dark and editorial, but shifts the emotional register: cyber-resistance, institutional warning, or investigative noir.
Scheme A
Acid Signal
Agents with hands deserve adult supervision.
High-contrast, hacker-adjacent, and closest to the existing identity. Best if we want continuity.
Use when the brand should feel technical, insurgent, and unmistakably AI-native.
Scheme B
Hazard Bureau
The warning label is becoming the product manual.
Warmer, more institutional, and more magazine-like. Good for credibility and policy-oriented work.
Use when the site should feel like investigative journalism with hazard tape at the edges.
Scheme C
Noir Spectrum
The public square now has a rendering engine.
Colder, more cinematic, and more future-facing. Strong for deepfakes, agents, and existential-risk pieces.
Use when the brand should feel less terminal and more high-end investigative sci-fi.
Initial Recommendation
Start with Fracture Signal + Hazard Bureau
My first pass preference is logo direction 01 paired with palette B. It keeps the current AI-resistance energy, but the amber/red system gives the publication more editorial credibility and less pure terminal aesthetic. If you want maximum cyberpunk continuity, logo 01 + palette A is the conservative upgrade.
